Use Case: Kirchderne Substation – Reliable Power Distribution through State-of-the-Art Medium-Voltage Technology

Project overview

The Kirchderne substation represents a critical infrastructure for a secure and reliable energy supply in the region. Greiner was responsible for equipping the system with a total of 27 medium-voltage fields (12 kV), including the waiting cabinets and ancillary equipment. With systems precisely tailored to customer needs, the highest requirements for reliability and operational safety could be met.

Challenge

In this project, the main focus was on maximum operational safety, personal protection and sustainable maintainability. Reliable insulation that is both easy to maintain and safe for employees was crucial. The operator required systems with a particularly high level of reliability and a high degree of protection against incidents and their spread.
