Use Case: Chemical Industry (Polysilicon) – 450 MCCs for the Optimal Energy Supply of Complex Industrial Processes
Project overview
As part of an extensive project in the chemical industry, Greiner supplied 450 fields of Motor Control Centers (MCC) for a polysilicon production plant. Polysilicon is a key material in the semiconductor and solar industries, the production of which places particularly high demands on electrical safety, reliability and maintainability.
Challenge
Polysilicon production plants are subject to aggressive environmental conditions with high safety requirements. A reliable and safe electrical power supply with extensive control and protection functions is therefore crucial to minimise operational interruptions and safety risks. The seamless integration of such a large number of MCC fields into the production process while ensuring problem-free maintenance was particularly challenging.
